What academic requirements must be met to start selling damage insurance with Unibrokers?
To obtain RIBO certification and start selling insurance with Unibrokers in Ontario, you must meet the following requirements: successfully complete the RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) Level 1 licensing exam, which covers principles of property and casualty insurance, Ontario insurance law, ethics, and professional practice; be at least 18 years of age; be a resident of Canada; have no criminal record that would affect your suitability as a broker; and be sponsored by a licensed brokerage such as Unibrokers that will supervise you as you begin your practice.
